Jaya Bachchan Receives Backlash For Laughing While Protesting For Justice For Unnao Rape Survivor
In one of the pictures, Jaya Bachchan was spotted laughing while protesting for Unnao rape survicor’s justice in Delhi and the actress was trolled and slammed for the same by netizens
Days after the road accident of Unnao rape survivor, Samajwadi Party and All India Trinamool Congress MPs staged a protest over attack on Unnao rape victim in Delhi. Veteran actress turned politician Jaya Bachchan, who is also a part of Samajwadi Party, was among those protesting against the serious issue. The politicians had gathered in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at the premises of the Parliament and pictures and videos from the protest surfaced on the Internet recently.
In the pictures from the protest, Jaya Bachchan can be seen smiling and laughing along with other politicians as she protested for justice in this serious issue. Netizens were quick to react and condemned the actress for the same. She was slammed by Twitterati and some even called their protests a political propaganda. One user wrote, “These smiling and laughing faces do not show any protest against crime, it is just their political propaganda.” Another Tweet read “It is a sort of fanfare when Parliament is sitting. MPs can raise this issue there. If the govt. is not listening, bring no confidence. What purpose would be solved by standing next to d statue of MKC Gandhi?”

The 19-year-old rape survivor who was travelling with her family was hit by a speeding truck in Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, which left her critically injured her and her lawyer Mahendra Singh and also caused the death of two relatives. BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar and 9 others were booked for murder on Monday. The CBI is looking into the case as the girl battles for her life. Many Bollywood celebs also took to their social media to criticize the accident.
